Huasun Presents Advanced HJT Solutions to Reduce Solar LCOE at SEF Prague 2024

At the Smart Energy Forum 2024 in Prague on October 9-10, Christian Comes, Director of Business Development Europe at Huasun Energy, presented the company's heterojunction (HJT) technology and cost-effective strategies for photovoltaic projects to over 100 industry professionals, receiving notable acclaim.

In alignment with EU carbon reduction initiatives, the Czech Republic has implemented policies promoting photovoltaic development, resulting in nearly 1 gigawatt of added solar capacity in 2023—a 69% increase from the previous year, underscoring substantial market potential.


Christian Comes highlighted Huasun’s project data, demonstrating that HJT modules outperform TOPCon and BC alternatives in bifaciality, temperature coefficients, and degradation rates. Simulations from the UK and Spain reveal that these modules significantly lower the Levelized Cost of Electricity (LCOE), enhancing the efficiency and economic viability of solar projects.

Currently, Huasun’s HJT modules are powering a 650-megawatt facility in Bulgaria and a 300-megawatt project in Dali, China. These two typical project references showcase the reliability of the modules across diverse terrains, setting the stage for similar implementations in the Czech Republic.



Comes stressed the importance of synchronizing photovoltaic generation with demand to maintain project economics. He noted that Huasun’s modules achieve bifaciality of up to 95% and yield 10-12% more power than comparable models, particularly during peak demand.


The introduction of high-efficiency vertical installations of HJT modules in agrivoltaic projects allows for dual-use of prime agricultural land, enhancing economic value while supporting local farmers in the energy transition.

At the exhibition stand, Huasun's G12R-96 HJT module debuted in the Czech market, drawing attention for its exceptional design.  The local partners of Huasun Energy stated, "With the implementation of subsidies from the EU and the Czech governments, the construction of photovoltaic projects has significantly accelerated. Huasun’s comprehensive product range is precisely tailored to meet diverse needs, offering customized solutions for clients and providing strong support for our distribution business."
