On December 11-12, 2024, EnerGaïa took place in Montpellier, France—known as the "Sunshine City"—attracting global leaders and enterprises in the new energy sector to explore opportunities for green energy development. Huasun Energy showcased its cutting-edge, high-efficiency heterojunction (HJT) 0BB (0-busbar) flagship products, marking a significant presence alongside solar energy leaders from Europe and the Mediterranean region.
France, located in Western Europe, benefits from an advantageous geographical position and a pleasant climate. As the second-largest energy consumer in Europe, its solar market is currently experiencing a golden growth period. The National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP) sets an ambitious renewable energy target for 2030, aiming for 60GW of solar capacity. With strong policy support, including subsidies for large-scale solar plants and residential PV projects, market demand is surging with robust growth momentum.
At the EU level, agrivoltaics (agri-PV) has become a key focus, integrating agriculture with solar power to address land-use challenges while unlocking the potential for green energy. According to forecasts from leading European PV research institutions, the EU agrivoltaic market holds a development potential of up to 480 GW, with the dual-use land concept rapidly gaining traction across the region.

Combining high power with features—high energy yield, high conversion efficiency, high reliability, low degradation, low temperature coefficient, low carbon footprint, and low levelized cost of energy (LCOE) —it sets the benchmark for performance in large-scale solar plants, cementing its leadership in the industry.
The G12R-108 and G12R-96 modules which are designed for C&I and residential applications also captured significant attention. Notably, the G12R-96 module features an elegant, full-black monofacial design that ensures stable power supply while meeting European customers' aesthetic preferences for home integration. This has made it a favorite among residential PV owners & developers, accelerating the growth of the local residential solar market.
To address the growing needs of France’s agrivoltaic sector, Huasun has developed agri-PV HJT modules, specifically designed to enhance agricultural land use while generating sustainable energy. Equipped with G12R rectangular 0BB cells and a four-string average layout, these modules achieve greater light uniformity. With power output reaching 410W, a light transmittance of 32%, and a bifaciality of up to 95%, Huasun’s agri-PV modules utilize advanced PIB encapsulation to significantly extend power generation lifespan, enabling dual benefits for both agricultural productivity and clean energy production.
Huasun's high-transparency HJT modules garnered significant attention at the exhibition. Through innovative design and advanced material processes, they not only ensure stable and efficient power generation but also conserve land resources and enhance ecological functions. Notably, by improving blue light utilization, they promote the growth of crops that thrive on blue light, achieving a true win-win for energy production and agriculture.
