The “High-Efficiency Solar Technologies 2024” conference, hosted by TaiyangNews, recently concluded with a focus on cutting-edge solar advancements. On December 3, Huasun's Senior Pre-sales Technical and Product Support Manager, Kayn Huang, and Head of Business Development Europe, Christian Comes, presented the advantages of Huasun's HJT (heterojunction) cells and modules, particularly the innovative 0BB (zero busbar) technology. Their presentations and discussions offered fresh insights into the efficiency, reliability, and market potential of HJT technology.
During his presentation, Kayn Huang emphasized the groundbreaking benefits of combining HJT and 0BB technologies. He shared the success of Huasun's modules in Bulgaria's 650 MW HJT tracking power plant, where actual power generation exceeded estimates by 32%, demonstrating the technology's ability to significantly boost efficiency and customer returns.
Huasun's 0BB technology enhances power output, reduces silver consumption, and integrates seamlessly with thin wafers, driving both cost-effectiveness and performance. The company has continued to advance its 0BB technology by integrating soldering before lamination techniques to maximize the synergy of HJT and 0BB.
Additionally, Huasun's Himalaya G12-132 module achieved a record-breaking 768.938 W power output and 24.75% conversion efficiency, setting a new benchmark in high-performance solar modules.
In the panel discussion, Christian Comes joined industry experts to explore HJT's current adoption and future potential. While many major players are yet to mass-produce HJT, Christian highlighted its rapid advancements and growing recognition as a next-generation solar technology.
Huasun's early investments in innovation and large-scale production have positioned the company as an indsutry leader, with over 8 GW of HJT products shipped to more than 60 countries and regions. The company is now working on HJT-perovskite tandem technologies, aiming to achieve breakthroughs in both efficiency and affordability.
Addressing market concerns, Christian Comes emphasized that Huasun's HJT modules are designed for long-term goals, offering low degradation, high bifaciality, superior temperature coefficient, and stable performance. These features help reduce system costs and optimize Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE), ensuring strong economic returns for customers.
Huasun remains committed to innovation, steadily advancing HJT technology and its applications. By collaborating with partners worldwide, Huasun is poised to further expand the possibilities of photovoltaic technology and contribute to the transition to a more sustainable global energy structure.
