On the morning of September 16th, Huasun Energy (Dali) Co., Ltd. held the groundbreaking ceremony of the 5GW high-efficiency HJT cell and module intelligent manufacturing project in the Economic and Technological Development Zone in Dali.
Yang Guozong, secretary of the Dali Committee, announced the start of the project, vice governor He Jiandong delivered a speech, and Chen Shaoming, vice chairman of Dali CPPCC presided over the ceremony. Xu Xiaohua, chairman of Anhui Huasun Energy Co., Ltd., Lu Junbing, vice general manager of Huaneng Lancanjiang River Hydropower Inc., and Fang Tao, vice general manager of PowerChina Huadong Engineering Corporation Limited, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech.
With 2.7GW high efficiency HJT solar cell and module capacity, Huasun has become the world’s largest HJT manufaturer. In order to continuously promote the cost reduction, efficiency improvement and market-oriented application of HJT, the company closely followed the pace of the national and local government upon the constrcution of wind and photovoltaic power stations. Huasun signed a contract with Huaneng Lancangjiang River Hydropower Inc. in May to build a 5GW intelligent factory of high efficiency HJT cell and module, which is the most important base of Huasun outside the headquarters in Xuancheng . The project will mainly produces HJT 3.0 products--double-sided microcrystalline HJT cells and HJT solar module. The project will be divided into two phases, with a planned capacity of 2.5GW either. When the 5GW fully put into production, it will form a photovoltaic industrial highland and chain cluster in Dali, impacting Yunnan Province, Southeast Tibet, Mekong River Basin and other areas.
Chairman Xu Xiaohua expressed his heartfelt thanks and sincere respect for the concern and support of the Dali government and partners in his speech. "Starting from today, we will embark on an exciting journey together, to build the world’s most advanced, intelligent and efficient solar cell and module manufacturing factory at the foot of Cangshan Moutain and by the Erhai Lake." Xu Xiaohua said. He said that Huasun will adhere to the consensus of one industry, one team, one goal and one dream with all parties, work together, trust and support each other with the spirit of accumulating daily achievements. In 2023, the first phase of the 2.5GW project will be successfully completed construction, being put in to operation and realize full production. The clean electricity generated by HJT modules will help to promote the country’s energy transformation, as well as to realize the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals.
The main leaders of Dali Committee, National people's Congress, CPPCC and the responsible persons of their subordinate units, the leading bodies and head of relevant departments of Dali Economic and Development Zone management committee, the project industry collaborators, Huasun senior management team, employee representatives participated in this activity.
