Huasun Energy recently announced the successful rollout of the first batch of heterojunction (HJT) solar cells from its Xuancheng Phase V 1 GW production facility. The debugging efficiency of the newly produced cells has met expectations, with future mass production efficiency reaching up to 26.24%. This achievement demonstrates Huasun's robust capabilities and innovative prowess in the HJT sector.
The first 210mm half-cut heterojunction cell rolled off Huasun Xuancheng Phase V production facility on October 25, 2024
The newly produced HJT cells adopt a combination of half-cut and standard SMBB processes. Huasun plans to enhance production by integrating advanced gettering processes and zero busbar (0BB) technology, which are anticipated to further elevate average cell efficiency in future mass production to meet the growing demand for high-quality HJT solar modules.
Since the commissioning of the production line on September 9, leading up to the roll-off of the first cell on October 25, 2024, the Xuancheng Phase V production team has rigorously prepared and tested the facility over the past month. Their collaborative efforts have effectively addressed various challenges, ensuring timely advancements from production line design to equipment commissioning. This accomplishment highlights the dedication and expertise of the Huasun team, establishing a solid foundation for future mass production.
Jimmy Xu, Chairman & CEO of Huasun Energy, stated, “The launch of our first batch of HJT cells in our Xuancheng Phase V 1 GW Project represents a significant advancement in HJT mass production. Huasun remains committed to continuous investment in material, process, and technological innovation to drive the development and industrialization of HJT cells.”
Huasun is dedicated to achieving a balance between cost reduction and improved efficiency. To this end, the Huasun Xuancheng Phase V facility will refine several processes, including the textured surface treatment method, double-sided microcrystalline applications, and ITO composite films development, while also developing a specialized silver-copper paste tailored for steel-nickel meshes, aligning with the demand for zero busbar (0BB) technology. Additionally, Huasun seeks to enhance its global strategic partnerships to harness resources effectively and drive innovation in photovoltaic technology and renewable energy development.
